Heart Melting Incident Narrated By Aisha رضي الله عنه of a Beloved Mothers Love

My dear brothers, we have underestimated the rewards, the positive effects of spending in the path of Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى brings.
The numerous benefits, Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى has mentioned in the glorious Quran. The numerous benefits Rasullah ﷺ has elaborated on.
My dear brothers and sisters listening at home, remember the happiest people are not those getting more, but those giving more.
I narrate to you an incident reported by Hadrath Aisha RA
قالت جاءتني مسكينة تحمل ابنتين لها، فأطعمتُها ثلاثَ تمرات، فأعطتْ كلَّ واحدة منهما تمرة
ورفعت إلى فيها تمرة لتأكلها
A poor women came to me carrying her two daughters. I gave her 3 dates, she gave this woman, who just by looking at her face, by looking at her condition, it was apparent clearly that she has not eaten for some days her daughters had not eaten for some days, she gave a date to each one of the daughters, she took the one-third date and put it towards her mouth.
فشقت التمرة التي كانت تريد أن تأكلها بينهما
Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar
What does Hadrath Aisha RA narrate? Once she gave the 2 dates to the daughters, the daughters very quickly ate the two dates and their gaze fell on the one date the mother had that she was about to consume. The mother looks at that beloved mother, the mother with that affection and love for the daughters looked at their faces, realised that they are still hungry, what does she say?
فشقت التمرة التي كانت تريد
That this woman, this beloved mother, she divided the third date into half and gave to each one of the daughters. Allahu Akbar.
فأعجبني شأنها
Hadrath Aisha RA narrates, that this incident was mind-blowing, this incident made my heart, made my heart melt, what affection and love this mother had.
Rasulullah ﷺ returned home, I narrate this incident to the beloved prophet of Allah ﷺ who said, That
“إن الله قد أوجب لها بها الجنة، أو أعتقها بها من النار”
((رواه مسلم))
That Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى has assured paradise for this women because of this act of hers or he said that Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى has rescued her from the fire of Jahannam.
Imam Muslim RA narrates this hadith my dear respected brothers and sisters listening at home, remember, remember my brothers, remember. When Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى has blessed you financially, don’t raise your standard of living, but rather, raise your standard of giving.
No one has ever become poor by giving in the path of Allah. And the solution to our problems, like Rasullah ﷺ has mentioned, that Sadaqah protects you from a painful death and difficulties. Whatever you can give, spend, spend on your family and those in need, but be even more generous in spending for the cause of Islam.
Remember that the time to commit to Islam is now my brothers utilize all the resources at your disposal, whether it’s time, attention, heart and mind, faculty of speaking, writing, reasoning and intelligence that Allah has bestowed on you for the establishment of his deen.
Do not let the love of this world my brothers deceive us. And I end with the hadith of Rasulullah ﷺ. Spend on charity oh son of Adam, and I will spend on you.
